The Absolute Encoder Measuring System provides current position values instantaneously. If the Absolute Encoder is moved mechanically while power is off, the current position can be read out directly as soon as the voltage supply is switched on again. TR Electronic’s absolute measurement systems can be delivered as a single-turn or multi-turn version. Optimized costs are available through various resolution ranges; multiple interfaces available, compatible with multiple controllers, shaft and mounting varieties and multiple connection technologies are available. The Absolute Rotary encoders are built on a modular concept allowing rapid customization.
Incremental encoders are used in machines and plants in different resolutions. Due to simple technology, incremental encoders can be realized with less cost than absolute encoders. On the other hand, they detect position changes only and need power supply to detect movement.
Our universal encoder in 58 mm housing is available with a wide range of hardware determined resolutions and in a fully programmable execution. Beside this standard, we provide plenty of different sizes. By combining different shaft geometries (solid, blind and hollow shaft) with available flange types, you easily find the perfect fit encoder for the mechanics of your machine.
Safe detection of rotation speed, rotation direction or standstill is provided by safety certified incremental encoders by TR-Electronic. Certified for applications with demands up to SIL 3, they provide operation modes as SLS, SOS, SSR, SDI or SSM with suitable safety appliance.
Additionally, we provide several different housing options for ATEX surroundings, for heavy duty applications with high mechanical loads or in aggressive media.
TR-Electronic linear encoders acquire linear movements in machines, tools and installations according to your specific requirements with different technologies.
Linear absolute position measuring systems and position sensors (magnetostriction) measure linear movements e.g. in injection molding machines without contact and wear-free, or are integrated directly into hydraulic cylinders. Cascadable position sensors position parting units. High-resolution absolute position measuring systems with a glass scale ensure precise positioning on machine tools. And laser sensors based on phase difference measuring techniques position aisle stackers in the desired position extremely precisely in warehousing and materials handling technology.
With TR-Electronic linear rotary encoders you can measure paths virtually wear-free and precisely move your machines and installations to the desired position. Type SL30
The SL 30 is designed for many years of use with a high activity rate. With a big number of options, the system can be adapted to many applications. Those wire draw mechanics are available as well approved for applications in explosive atmospheres, compatible with our AE _ 70.
Type WDS
The WDS is suitable for normal automation tasks. The complete cable drum including spring assembly is installed in an extruded aluminium housing.
Type SL00
The WPS are cost-effective products for simple measuring applications with lower accuracy requirements. In terms of precision it is compatible with our rotary encoders with magnetic scanning.
Linear absolute position measuring systems (magnetostriction) measure linear movements without contact and wear-free, even in aggressive media.
Pressure-resistant tubular housings made of stainless steel enable installation in hydraulic cylinders. We also offer linear encoders in a polypropylene housing for use in chemically aggressive media or for level measurement in the food processing and electroplating industries. Linear encoders in a profile housing can be mounted in many different machines and installations. Variants with and without guided magnet are available. This variant can even be integrated into surfaces, and consequently has no edges in which production waste can get caught. All systems are also available with multiple magnet scanning, i.e. the position of several magnets is acquired simultaneously.
And with cascadable linear absolute position sensors in a profile housing measuring lengths of up to 20m can even be achieved – for example for cutter adjustment in reel cutters or as wear-free vertical axes in high rack warehouses.
