Pressure switches are used when pressure has to be controlled or monitored via an electric on/off switching signal. These switches are available in various designs in respect of indication, switching capacity and approvals (CE, Ex, Shipbuilding, Railways) as well as the sensor system involved. In mechanical pressure switches, a pressure sensor actuates an electric micro switch. In electronic pressure switches, a pressure sensor signal controls relays or transistor outputs.
