RFID Identification

HF – RFID (High Frequency)
RFID systems operating at a frequency of 13.56 MHz (HF-band) are almost insensitive to electromagnetic interference. Radio ranges of up to 100 cm are possible with the BL ident® HF devices, depending on the combination of read/write head and data carrier. The data carriers are supplied passively with power via the electromagnetic field of read/write head and are thus maintenance-free. Also the air interface for the read/write heads and data carriers is standardized worldwide.

UHF – RFID (Ultra High Frequency)
RFID-systems that operate in the frequency band 865 …928 MHz (UHF) are used wherever larger distances between read/write head and data carrier are required. With the BL ident ® UHF-system radio ranges of several meters are possible. The data carriers are supplied passively with power via the electromagnetic field of the read/write head and are thus maintenance-free. The international wireless protocol ISO 18000-6 C, based on EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2, guarantees investment security and flexibility in the use of read/write heads and data carriers for UHF-applications.
